IFS Psychotherapy Coaching

My personal journey has been a winding path of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation.

We're all drawn to psychology and counselling for a reason, right? Life's twists and turns lead us to explore healing methods, pushing us to dive into the world of studying human nature. My journey started early, trying out various therapeutic approaches since my teenage years, hoping to find calm and navigate life's complexities.

While more popular techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy equipped me with skills for daily life, they only touched the surface. Those less favourable coping mechanisms – the impulsive decisions, the spending, the partying, the blame, and the anger – felt shamed, abandoned, and exiled within my system.

I began to feel utterly hopeless in my quest for healing.

Despite trying all of these different techniques and accumulating a toolkit of coping skills, I found myself continually triggered and stuck in patterns that seemed insurmountable. It was a disheartening place to be, wondering if I would ever get to the root cause of my triggers, and feel “normal”.

The turning point came when synchronicity led me to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.

Unlike previous modalities, IFS delved deep — addressing the root cause of my trauma and offering a compassionate framework that allowed every part of me to be seen and embraced, even the ones that tend to get a bad rap. The immense clarity that came from IFS, is what fueled my desire to create Path to Self.

Experiencing the power of connecting within ignited a deep desire to share this healing journey with others.

Path to Self is rooted in my belief that everyone deserves a space to explore, understand, and embrace their entire being — light, shadow, and all.

I longed to offer a sanctuary where individuals could navigate the storm within, armed with innate tools, compassion, and boundless curiosity. Path to Self emerged from my conviction that the journey to self-discovery can be a playful and profound adventure, a celebration of every exquisite part of our humanity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to reconnect people with their authentic essence, the part of themselves that is naturally confident, courageous, curious, and radically compassionate. Through this process, we create safety within ourselves and feel supported to reclaim and embody all of our juicy and magnificent parts — the light, the dark, and everything in between.

We use somatic-based and trauma-informed frameworks that help build clarity, safety, and confidence. Through working with our multiplicity, we can learn to communicate with each part of ourselves, build a relationship with them, and then help them heal. This process not only helps us develop boundless self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience, but also extends our capacity for greater compassion, awareness, love, and care toward others, nature, and the world.
